Our education and training services have delivered:
- Internationally endorsed training resources for health practitioners and for people affected by trauma
- Skills development for psychologists and physiotherapists in Victoria on how to identify, assess and treat posttraumatic and comorbid mental health problems in people recovering from serious transport accidents
- Information sessions about the PTSD Guidelines for more than 1600 practitioners and people affected by trauma
- Skills development workshops for mental health practitioners on evidence-based trauma focussed treatment for traumatic stress syndromes
- Training for Australian Defence Force psychologists, social workers and medical practitioners

For health professionals
ACPMH works with organisations, services and professional colleges to provide skills development and information sessions for health professionals. We do not have a regular training calendar for individual practitioners. ADF: Traumatic Stress Syndrome Course
ACPMH conducts Traumatic Stress Syndromes course on behalf of the Australian Defence Force Health Services Branch. This course runs for two weeks and provides training in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder, acute stress disorder and a range of comorbid mental health difficulties. Participation is limited to Australian Defence Force personnel. For more information about the course, click here .
